Rangers submit contract offer to Ross McCausland as Philippe Clement stance emerges
Rangers have offered a new two-and-a-half-year contract to Ross McCausland, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper reported via their website on Friday (20 October) that the Gers are keen to get McCausland, 20, tied down to a fresh contract as his existing terms expire at the end of the season.
It is understood that new Rangers manager Philippe Clement has already been blown away by the Northern Irish attacker.

Great first impression
McCausland has clearly done something right to get in Clement’s good books so early.
The Northern Ireland Under-21 international has been offered a contract that runs until 2026 after playing a couple of times under interim manager Steven Davis.
Michael Beale barely looked at the former Linfield winger but there’s no doubt that he would have probably missed a young Lionel Messi in the Rangers academy had he been there under the Englishman’s reign.
Davis will no doubt know McCausland well due to their Northern Irish ties and Davis might have had a word in the ear of Clement about the up-and-coming forward.

It’s a very good sign that Clement has so quickly signed off on offering the youngster a new contract and we hope he signs it as soon as possible because clubs could offer him a pre-contract to leave Ibrox in January at this point.
It’s not worth risking him leaving on a free or for a small compensation fee so at least offering a contract is a good step by Rangers.
In other Rangers news, a club chief has made a final decision on an Ibrox approach to hire him.
