Confirmed: Todd Cantwell and Ryan Jack fit for Rangers clash v Hibernian, Tom Lawrence and Rabbi Matondo out

Todd Cantwell and Ryan Jack are fit and available to play for Rangers against Hibernian on Saturday, manager Philippe Clement has confirmed.

Both players have been suffering with injuries but will be fit to play at Ibrox in Clement’s first game as boss, although they won’t be able to play the full 90 minutes.

Meanwhile Danilo has returned to training and is expected to be available to feature from the bench while wearing a mask, with the boss confirming he will likely be needed for the game.

Tom Lawrence and Rabbi Matondo are still out and unavailable for the game, with no time frame given on when they will return.

Fresh chapter

This is a fresh chapter for Rangers Football Club and a chance for Philippe Clement to show exactly who he is and put his stamp down immediately.

Everyone knows this is going to be a difficult game for Rangers, because Hibs have forever been one of the tougher sides in the league and no matter who is in charge this would never be a walk in the park.

Rangers

But the Ibrox crowd will be right behind the team and the new manager, and with the options he has available to him Clement can select his team knowing that he can get all his principles involved and make a run for 3 points.

This is the biggest run of fixtures we’ve had in a while with some big league games plus Europa League clashes and a League Cup semi-final in the mix.

Clement has to hit the ground running with the fixtures coming, starting with Hibernian at Ibrox on Saturday, to get the fans on side and convince the players that he is the man to take us back to the top of the Scottish game.

In other Rangers news, club chief has now made his final decision about Ibrox move.
