Paperworks issues emerge at Rangers over new Ibrox appointment
Paperwork issues have emerged as Rangers look to appoint Stephan van der Heyden alongside Philippe Clement, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported in its print edition [October 18, pg 75] that the Belgian will assist Clement once that is sorted, likely in the coming days.
Clement took charge of the Rangers squad for the first time on Monday 16 October after his appointment was confirmed to replace Michael Beale.

They wrote: “Clement will be assisted by Stephan van der Heyden once paperwork issues are cleared and is also keen to add a coach with in-depth knowledge of Rangers to his staff.”
Issues.
Despite not going into greater detail, it looks as though these are just formalities that need to be completed before it becomes official moving forward.
Van der Heyden is the man that Clement takes with him and having that solid foundation will hopefully allow him to thrive at Ibrox and push the club forward.
In what looks like another smart decision, another hire of someone with deeper knowledge of the club also looks close, to help with the transition.

Steven Davis is likely the frontrunner for that with Alex Rae, given the duo were in the interim management team after Beale and before the appointment of Clement.
A handover meeting has taken place already, so more answers on that front should be with us imminently, with attention quickly set to change back to the football very shortly.
In other Rangers news, pundit Andy Walker claims Clement is already facing a “tall order” following his recent appointment.
