Rangers: Gordon Duncan shares Steven Davis update live on Sky Sports
Steven Davis arrived at the Rangers training ground at the same time as new manager Philippe Clement on Monday (16 October), according to Gordon Duncan.
The Gers midfielder took interim charge between Michael Beale’s sacking on 1 October and Clement’s appointment two weeks later on 15 October.
There have been questions with regards to whether Davis will remain as part of the new coaching setup at Ibrox as he recovers from a long-term injury.

Asked if Davis could work alongside Clement, Duncan told Sky Sports News outside Auchenhowie [16 October, 12:30]: “That’s going to be an interesting one.
“What a couple of weeks it’s been for him. He was here rehabbing an injury and then got thrust into the hotseat.
“He arrived here very early today around the same time as Philippe Clement. It remains to be seen what sort of role he will have.
“Stephan van der Heyden, we fully expect him to be named as a member of Clement’s backroom team.
“But will there be room for some continuity, someone who knows the club and league? And will that person be Steven Davis?”
Realism
Davis recently admitted that he is not exactly sure about his future, having taken longer than expected to return from an ACL injury sustained almost a year ago.
With his 39th birthday a little over two months away, the Gers midfield great has to be realistic with regards to whether he can continue playing once he has recovered from this lay-off.
Having had a taste of what it is like to be a manager, even if only for two games, it may well be that Davis would like the opportunity to work as part of Clement’s coaching staff.

The fact he arrived at the Gers’ training base at the same time as Clement certainly seems to suggest that the pair held talks on Monday (16 October), so we can surely expect an update one way or another very soon.
Assuming Van der Heyden is also brought on board, Clement’s coaching staff could be in place in the next day or so.
All focus can then be fully on the visit of Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership next Saturday (21 October) as supporters get the chance to welcome Clement and his coaching staff, whoever they may be.
In other Rangers news, a BBC pundit has warned that Clement could be under pressure as early as next month.
