Philippe Clement wants new Rangers hire already with Auchenhowie meeting today
Philippe Clement is keen to hire another new coach with in-depth knowledge of Rangers already after his appointment, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported in its print edition [October 16, pg 61] that the Belgian wants the support of someone who is already familiar with his new environment.
It is said that a meeting will take place today at Auchenhowie between Clement and the interim team of Steven Davis and Alex Rae as a handover to the new boss.

Smart.
This is exactly what is needed.
Clement is entering an unknown in Scotland, having played in Belgium before tasting his success there, so any help he can get to push Rangers to the top is very welcome.
Davis would be the obvious choice given he has been working with the team already, but that would depend on his own playing ambitions as he would have to leave the role for that to happen.
The likes of Barry Ferguson also spring to mind, and there should be some progress made ahead of his opening game this weekend against Hibernian.
Immediate attention is on turning around the fortunes of this failing squad, who must be down in the dumps following yet another sacked manager.
With failed signings under the management of Beale though, Clement is already up against it to get the best out of these players who he may not have wanted in the first place.
A new appointment is certainly one to watch in the coming days and weeks as the football gets back underway.
