New Rangers manager to meet Ibrox squad at Auchenhowie on Monday – Sky Sports
Rangers will appoint either Kevin Muscat or Philippe Clement on Sunday (15 October) ahead of the new manager meeting the squad at Auchenhowie for the first time on Monday (16 October), according to Sky Sports.
The British broadcaster reported on its website on Saturday (14 October) that the Gers are on the verge of ending their two-week search to find Michael Beale’s successor.
Rangers CEO James Bisgrove and chairman John Bennett are said to have held extensive interviews with several candidates this week, with Muscat and Clement making it through to the final round of talks.

After meeting with the squad early next week, either Muscat or Clement will then have a short period to prepare for the Scottish Premiership clash with Hibernian at Ibrox on Saturday (21 October).
Finally
After two weeks of speculation, the Gers’ search for a new manger finally looks set to come to an end.
Depending on which reports you read, either Muscat is the firm favourite to take over or Clement is.
In truth, it may well be that even those high up at Ibrox are themselves unsure which appointment to make.
Either way, the Gers fanbase will get behind whoever it is that is appointed. Both Muscat and Clement have impressive CVs and have experience of winning titles.

The new manager will have to hit the ground running, as Rangers have seven matches between now and the next international break in a month’s time to save their season.
Let’s just hope that the incoming new manager, whether that be Muscat or Clement, lasts longer in the dugout than Giovanni Van Bronckhorst and Beale before him.
In other Rangers news, a journalist has dropped a behind-the-scenes “shenanigans” claim ahead of the Gers formally announcing their new manager.
