Jim White shares instant two-word reaction as Rangers announce new manager Philippe Clement
Jim White has provided his instant response to Rangers announcing Philippe Clement as the new manager at Ibrox.
The talkSPORT host tweeted a two-word post on Sunday (15 October) that simply said “well then” in response to the Gers confirming the Belgian as the club’s new boss.
The 49-year-old came out on top in the final interviews ahead of Kevin Muscat as the preferred candidate to take over from Michael Beale.
Giving nothing away
It looks as though White isn’t giving too much away on the appointment of Clement as the new manager in the hot seat at Rangers.
It has been a long process that has taken place over the past couple of weeks since Beale was sacked on 1 October following the defeat to Aberdeen at Ibrox.
The Gers board have taken their time to ensure that they have the right man in place, with the final interviews taking place over the past couple of days.
The Light Blues are believed to have been keeping an eye on the Belgian’s situation since he left Monaco at the end of last season.
He will now be looking to hit the ground running as he aims to turn the club’s fortunes around following a difficult start to the season that has already seen them fall seven points behind Celtic in the SPFL table.
