Early Hibs injury update issued ahead of Rangers clash
Veteran goalkeeper David Marshall is expected to be fit for Hibernian when they face Rangers at Ibrox next Saturday (21 October), according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper reported on Saturday (14 October, page 55) that the former Scotland stopper, 38, is expected to return to training next week.
Marshall had to be withdrawn during the Edinburgh derby against Hearts on 7 October, a match in which Hibs fought back to draw 2-2 from two goals down.

Rangers fans are waiting to see if a new manager will be in the dugout for the clash, with ex-Monaco boss Philippe Clement and Yokohama F. Marinos manager and ex-Gers player Kevin Muscat seemingly in a straight race for the role.
Should win regardless
Having Marshall, a former Celtic goalkeeper, fit would undoubtedly be a big boost for Hibs, who have yet to lose since Nick Montgomery was appointed as head coach last month.
But regardless of whether the experienced stopper is passed fit, Rangers need to make sure it does not make a difference and that Montgomery tastes defeat for the first time as Hibs boss.

There is obviously still a huge element of uncertainty at Ibrox, with a decision on whether it will be Clement or Muscat taking over the reins still seemingly yet to be made, although surely that call will arrive soon enough.
Steven Davis has been in interim control and oversaw a 3-0 victory over St Mirren prior to the second international break of the season. That provided a little boost for Rangers but they need to really build the momentum now, especially when a new boss is finally appointed by the Ibrox hierarchy.
In other Rangers news, Robbie McCrorie should be begging to leave Ibrox.
