Alex Lowry shares what he knows about next Rangers manager at Ibrox
Alex Lowry has shared what he knows about the next Rangers manager as the club look to replace Michael Beale at Ibrox.
Speaking to the Daily Record on Wednesday (11 October), the 20-year-old admitted that he doesn’t know who the next Gers boss is going to be and that it has “nothing to do” with him.
There have been calls for the Scotland U-21 international to be recalled by the Light Blues after Beale sanctioned a loan move to Hearts over the summer, but the midfielder insisted that a Glasgow return is not on his mind at this moment in time.

“It’s not in my mind, my main aim is to perform for Hearts right now,” said Lowry. “Whatever happens in January happens. I couldn’t tell you who the next manager is going to be, so it’s nothing to do with me.
“My focus is on impressing Steven Naismith and if he’s playing me then I’ll hopefully keep getting picked for the 21s. That’s all I can control, my own form, so I just have to do my best and see what happens.”
Unsurprising
It won’t come as too much of a surprise to learn that Lowry knows very little about the next Rangers manager because he is out on loan and the players probably aren’t fully aware of what is happening behind the scenes.
The situation will be evolving all the time as the interviews with candidates for the job are expected to continue until the end of the week.
With the Gers lacking options in the middle of the park, it is a little bit surprising that Beale allowed him to head out on loan to Hearts this season.

The midfielder has recorded one goal and four assists in 11 matches for the Edinburgh club as he looks to gain the necessary experience to lay down a claim for a spot in the Light Blues side on his return to Ibrox.
The new manager will assess whether that will be in January or if they deem the best scenario is for him to continue playing regular football and review his situation again next summer.
