Belgian football expert moots likely formation of Philippe Clement at Rangers
Belgium football expert Sven Claes has mooted the formation Philippe Clement is likely to play at Rangers should he get the job.
Claes believes that a 4-4-2 is his go-to system but he’s also played a 4-3-3 so that might be an option as well at Ibrox.
Clement has managed a number of clubs previously including Club Brugge, AS Monaco and Genk.
Claes told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, “Normally he plays with 4-4-2. In Belgium, he also played with a 4-3-3 with three attackers – two excellent wingers who are very fast and an attacker up front. Like you all know Cyriel Dessers. He also played at Genk as a central attacker.
“He’s available this summer and really wants to start again as he’s negotiating with several clubs this summer.
Dessers will get more attention from this coach and I think it could be a great push for him to show what he’s capable of. “
Needs a fresh start
Dessers is a talented player and that’s why the club sanctioned a move for him this summer and it was a position that needed to be strengthened.
Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent leaving reduced firepower in the final third and reinforcements were important.

Thus far, things have not worked out for Dessers as many thought and hopefully under Clement, or whoever the new manager is, can change things for the better for him.
The club are expected to make that decision sooner rather than later and it remains to be seen who they end up bringing in.
Clement’s credentials are pretty impressive and his appointment will certainly give the fans a lift as they had grown tired of Michael Beale’s playing style.
Hopefully, other players too respond well to the new manager and start racking up wins as soon as possible.
In other Rangers news, an award-winning manager has now asked his representatives to set up an interview with the Ibrox hierarchy as he aims to succeed Michael Beale.
