Philippe Clement now leads race to become Rangers manager after impressive talks
Philippe Clement is now the clear frontrunner to replace Michael Beale as the new Rangers manager, according to the Scottish Sun.
The newspaper has reported on its website that the 49-year-old has seriously impressed officials after holding talks for the role across the past week.
It is said that Rangers officials will now meet over the next 48 hours to make their final decision with an announcement coming from Ibrox very soon.

Kevin Muscat and Pascal Jansen are still said to be in the running, but it is clear that Clement is the favourite to land the role after leaving Monaco lasts season.
Scott Parker, John Eustace and Frank Lampard have all been ruled out of taking over the club, despite strong links emerging since the sacking of Beale.

Get it done.
Sorting this in the next 48 hours will give the new manager the perfect amount of time in the international break to get to grips with this uninspired squad.
The Rangers board saw last week as the perfect time to sack Beale, with only two games for Steven Davis to navigate, with a solid win at St Mirren following that shocking loss at Aris.
Clement or even Muscat would not stand for what this squad has been giving, not only in the past fortnight but all season, with some simply embarrassing.
Hopefully, the international break can be used to welcome back some players to fitness after this injury hell, as well as the new manager settling in.
There will be quite a quick chance at silverware too, with the ViaPlay Cup semi-finals ahead and the final to follow if that goes well, something which could turn the season around.
This is one to watch very closely in the next 48 hours, with Clement clearly the frontrunner for now.
