Paul Mitchell and Philippe Clement arrivals can be game changer for Rangers
Paul Mitchell has been linked with the Rangers sporting director position with Philippe Clement understood to be the favourite for the manager role.
Ross Wilson left Gers for Nottingham Forest early this year and the club have not hired a replacement for the same position.
There has been a boardroom overhaul and someone else has handled the transfer activity but it’s understood to be an area they’re looking to hire someone in.

According to the Scottish Sun on Tuesday (10 October), Mitchell may follow Clement to Ibrox if that’s the direction the club go in.
Mitchell has been exceptional in terms of his work in the transfer market and that’s something Wilson was criticised for time and again.
The Englishman has made exceptional signings at Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur and worked very well with Mauricio Pochettino.
He also spent some time with Clement and this could be the perfect opportunity to reunite the duo at Ibrox.

Managers do not like the extra authority as they feel they should be making the recruitment decisions, but no successful club in the world operates without an adept sporting director or an equivalent role.
Mitchell won’t be someone new and he’ll also help build this side for the long term and continue the process of finding quality talent on the cheap and ensure that if they are to leave in the future, the club’s compensated well.
This will bring back the glory days at Ibrox and this is a double appointment the fans will absolutely get behind.
In other Rangers news, an award-winning manager has now asked his representatives to set up an interview with the Ibrox hierarchy as he aims to succeed Michael Beale.
