Rangers manager update emerges on quest to hire Philippe Clement

Rangers have held talks with Philippe Clement who’s among the main favourites to take over at Ibrox, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

The Belgian journalist claims that despite Clement holding talks with Al Shabab, he is keen on being the next Gers manager.

The SPFL outfit are expecting to complete the managerial recruitment process during the current international break.

Tavolieri wrote on Twitter, “Talks currently ongoing between Philippe Clement & RangersFC. Belgian coach has been targeted as one of the main favorites by the Scottish board. Philippe Clement keen on the move despite having hold talks with Al Shabab last week.”

Interesting

Clement will be an easy option to hire as he’s currently out of work with his last club being AS Monaco.

Fans will be hoping that’s not the reason why he’s among the frontrunners to secure the Rangers job as it needs to be a thorough process.

The Belgian is an outstanding choice to manage Gers due to his impressive track record, tactical acumen and his ability to develop young talent.

Rangers

His success at Club Brugge, where he guided them to the Belgian Pro League title and a strong performance in the UEFA Champions League, showcases his managerial prowess.

Rangers desperately need a manager capable of winning titles and he will fit the bill perfectly for them and will quickly draw the respect of the dressing room.

Whether or not he ends up at Ibrox is another thing altogether as there will be plenty of factors in play.

In other Rangers news, an award-winning manager has now asked his representatives to set up an interview with the Ibrox hierarchy as he aims to succeed Michael Beale.
