Official Rangers partner issues clarification on Kevin Muscat arrival timeline
Heart and Hand have clarified the timeline of Kevin Muscat arriving at Rangers if he is to become the next manager.
The club’s official partner claims that the 50-year-old will arrive at Ibrox immediately and not in December according to reports in Japan.
Currently, the former Gers defender is the manager of Yokohama Marinos.
Via Twitter, Heart and Hand wrote, “No, Muscat would come immediately despite stories in Japanese media.”
Good option
As a former player with a great career, he understands Rangers’ values and expectations.
Muscat’s coaching experience, particularly as head coach of Melbourne Victory, shows his ability to build and lead a team.
He’s won league titles there and also in Japan so it’s evident that he’s a winner and may bring that philosophy to Ibrox as well.
He is known for his commitment to the strong defensive structures which could give Rangers the stability they need to succeed in both domestic and European competitions.
His deep connection with the club and previous coaching experience make him a compelling candidate and most fans will not mind his return to the club.
However, at the same time, it’s equally important that the club are thorough with their recruitment process as they cannot make the same kind of mistakes as they did in the past.
It remains to be seen if he does impress the hierarchy in interviews.
