Face-to-face talks to take place today as timeline set for new Rangers manager
Rangers chief executive James Bisgrove and chairman John Bennett have flown to London ahead of face-to-face talks with possible managerial targets set to take place on Monday 9 October, according to The Sun.
The newspaper reported via their website overnight on 8 October that the club are hopeful of announcing the replacement for the outgoing Michael Beale before the end of the week.
It was also reported that the names on Rangers’ final list for interviews are: Kevin Muscat, Philippe Clement, Scott Parker and Pascal Jansen, with Muscat and Clement making clear their desire to take over at Ibrox.

Need to get things wrapped up soon
Caretaker manager Steven Davis has taken charge of just two games in his interim stint at Ibrox, but the club are keen to find a new permanent boss as quickly as possible, with hopes of wrapping up talks and having a new man in place during the international break.
The timing of the break has come perfectly for the Rangers bosses, allowing them time to get a new man in and give him at least a week to work with his squad before they face Hibernian at Ibrox on 21 October.
The shortlisted names would all prove appealing options, and the fact that Muscat and Clement have both made their intentions clear regarding the job would be a good sign should they take the reins, as they clearly back themselves to oversee a resurrection at Ibrox.

We are now closing in on the final call for the much-anticipated decision, with not long left to wait for Rangers fans. Whoever takes over, their job is clear. They must win and they must win quickly. Sitting seven points off Celtic in the league, the only way back is to keep winning games.
In other Rangers news, a managerial domino effect may have begun after a high-profile boss’ recent decision.
