Chris Jack issues Rangers manager update amid links to ex Fulham boss Scott Parker
Chris Jack has issued an update on former Fulham and Bournemouth manager Scott Parker amid his links to Rangers.
The Scottish Herald journalist claimed on Monday, 9 October that Parker isn’t thought to be near the top of the list.
Pascal Jansen, Kevin Muscat and Philippe Clement are thought to be among the candidates being considered.
Jack told Rangers Review, “Personally, I don’t think Parker is near the top of that list. You’re looking at Jansen potentially. You’re looking at Muscat. You’re looking at Clement, who’s probably the pick of them for me.”
Good news
Football Scotland reported that the club will ramp up face-to-face talks with candidates on 9 October.
Parker does not appear to cause any excitement among the fanbase and that’s certainly got to do with how his stint at Bournemouth ended.
He aired the club’s dirty laundry in public and was sacked not long after and his style of football wasn’t overly inspiring either.

Most players did not improve under his stewardship and even after he moved to Brugge, he failed to establish his credentials as a manager.
It remains to be seen which club ends up hiring him next but Rangers must not be the ones taking a gamble on him.
The other names mentioned above all seem to be better options and those are ideal candidates for the Ibrox hot seat.
There’s also the possibility of a completely fresh name being thrown into the mix as these things change rapidly so one cannot be certain.
In other Rangers news, an award-winning manager has now asked his representatives to set up an interview with the Ibrox hierarchy as he aims to succeed Michael Beale.
