Simon Jordan shares Graham Potter to Rangers admission after Michael Beale sack

Simon Jordan has delivered an ultimate admission on former Chelsea and Brighton manager Michael Beale joining Rangers.

The Englishman has been thrown into the mix to succeed Michael Beale and Danny Murphy believes he’s the better option than Frank Lampard.

However, given his success at Brighton and taking the step up to manage Chelsea, Jordan does not see Ibrox being the next sensible move in his career.

He told talkSPORT, “He’s not going to go there. Guaranteed Potter won’t go there. Because it’s not the rebuild mechanism he would be wise deploying and because I just don’t think it’s the right one for him. The cost implications of Potter will be a deterrent for them. They won’t be paying Potter positively.”

Potter would be an excellent fit for Rangers due to his innovative and adaptable managerial style.

His success at various clubs, particularly his impressive stint with Brighton, showcases his ability to work within financial constraints while maximising a team’s potential.

Potter’s tactical flexibility, characterised by fluid formations and attractive, possession-based football, could breathe new life into Rangers’ playing style.

He encourages youth development and values nurturing local talent, aligning with the club’s rich tradition of producing Scottish football stars.

His track record of improving players individually and collectively could elevate Ger’s performance in domestic and continental competitions and get them to challenge Celtic for the title.

Convincing him might be slightly difficult but they’ve got to go all out and try to get the best man available for the job.

Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards told the BBC podcast Transfer Gossip Daily on 2 October that Gers have already approached him so it remains to be seen how things transpire.

In other Rangers news, Alan Shearer has delivered a claim on Gers’ Europa League campaign after what Gary Lineker said recently.
