Derek Ferguson slams ‘Horrible’ Rangers after 2-1 defeat v Aris Limassol
Derek Ferguson has slammed the Rangers players after the team fell 2-0 down against Aris in their Europa League clash on Thursday 5 October.
Ferguson claimed the players were accepting the loss rather than demanding better of each other, which led to a second defeat this week for the Ibrox side who ended up losing the game 2-1.
The former Gers man claimed this result is exactly what the players deserve which is horrible to see, as there was no bounce to be found after Michael Beale was sacked following Saturday’s loss to Aberdeen.

Speaking live on BBC Sportsound, as shared by BBC Sport [19:12], Ferguson slammed the Ibrox side, stating: “This is what Aris deserve.
“I’m looking at the Rangers players individually. No one is falling out with each other, they’re not getting after each other. There’s an acceptance.
“It’s horrible to see, really. Aris have outplayed Rangers.”
Another abject display
Times have changed, but the attitudes and displays of this group of Gers players have not. It was only a couple of weeks ago that a tough and hard-fought victory over Real Betis looked like it could be a turning point for Michael Beale saving his job at Ibrox.
Now, though, Beale is gone, and the abject displays of this group of players have failed to change for the better. There was no “new-manager bounce”, no inspiration, and no direction from the team.

Things will need to change quickly at Rangers if this team still has ambitions of being competitive both domestically and in European competition. If they continue to play the way they did today, they don’t look like they’d even win another game all season.
It will certainly provide food for thought for any potential new boss at Ibrox, with the process of selecting a new boss well underway, and hopefully, somebody can be brought in to give these players a much-needed kick up the backside.
In other Rangers news, one player’s display v Aris should have seen him off at half-time.
