Rangers manager update as Graham Potter twist emerges on Monday
Graham Potter has ruled himself out of the running to take over as Rangers manager after the sacking of Michael Beale, according to the Daily Record.
The Englishman was given his marching orders on Sunday 01 October after a disappointing 3-1 defeat against Aberdeen at Ibrox over the weekend.
The newspaper has now reported on its website that sources close to Potter’s camp have insisted that he will take time over his next move, which won’t be to Govan.

Potter has been out of work since leaving Chelsea last season, after tasting big success in the Premier League with Brighton and Hove Albion.
Ibrox sources have also insisted that they will take time over the managerial appointment, with the international break around the corner.
Steven Davis will take temporary charge of the club against Aris Limassol in the Europa League and the weekend clash with St Mirren.

Decisions.
John Bennett and his team simply have to get this next call right.
Beale had close ties to the club, but as a manager, he was relatively inexperienced and that came back to haunt the club, who have gone backwards with little success.
A lot of money was spent this summer with no reward for that, so whoever comes in will need to relight the spark at Ibrox and find a way to start winning games and silverware.
Potter would demand heavy pay too, so maybe that was a non-starter from the very moment that Beale was sacked and the replacement hunt began.
Kevin Muscat is certainly one name to be looking out for, with the Australian potentially returning to the club after many years away.
One thing for sure is that there will be plenty of twists and turns along the way, with Potter now the first name who looks to have been officially ruled out of the running.
