Michael Beale sack verdict shared as Rangers upturn in form not earning Ibrox boss ‘wiggle room’
Daily Record journalist Gordon Parks has claimed that Michael Beale hasn’t secured his position as Rangers boss despite the Light Blues’ winning run.
The Ibrox club have won their last four games in all competitions since the international break and because of the turnaround in fortunes, the calls for Beale to be sacked have died down slightly in comparison to the unrest among supporters following the defeat to Celtic.
But despite results improving, the performances have still left a lot to be desired from the Gers, with the Ibrox crowd booing the side from the field following their 1-0 win over Motherwell and Parks believes the pressure is still on Beale.

Writing for the Daily Record on Saturday (30 September) he said: “It’s a stretch to say he’s earned any wriggle room as performances have been awful and the recruitment just as bad. There’s a sense the fans have already decided he’s not the brains of the operation after all.”
Not the brains
There has been very little from Rangers in recent weeks to make many fans believe that Beale’s side truly are title challengers this season and ultimately the buck stops with the man in charge at Ibrox. Until performances improve the pressure will continue.
It genuinely feels as though Beale is on borrowed time in Glasgow, with each win ensuring that he will take charge of the next game, but there has yet to be a performance that has made fans and pundits certain that he will be the man to return to the title to Ibrox.

While Rangers are winning games, talk of an immediate sacking will die down, but the Light Blues have been far from convincing since the international break and could have quite easily dropped points against Motherwell in the Premiership and Real Betis in the Europa League.
Although the recruitment this summer can be fairly criticised, there is a feeling that a few players could still come good as they find their feet, with Abdallah Sima impressing in the Viaplay Cup clash with Livingston and Danilo looking bright before his injury in the win over St Johnstone.
You wouldn’t bet on Beale being in charge at Ibrox for too long, but it feels unlikely he’ll be going anywhere immediately unless something disastrous happens against Aberdeen.
In other Rangers news, Beale has noticed an “eye-catching” change in Sima’s attitude this season
