Journalist says fan feeling is clear on Michael Beale sack decision at Rangers amid ‘palpable’ Ibrox atmosphere
The fan feeling towards Michael Beale is clear after another hugely disappointing day for Rangers against Aberdeen, according to Jonny McFarlane.
Aberdeen ran out 3-1 victors at Ibrox on Saturday (30 September) to pile the pressure on under-fire boss Beale, whose side are now seven points off fierce rivals Celtic after just seven games.
A chorus of jeers rang out around the stadium at full-time and Ibrox Review journalist McFarlane hinted that there is no way back for Beale after a “palpable” atmosphere was felt at Ibrox.
“The anger at full time towards Michael Beale and the team was the most palpable I’ve seen at Ibrox,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Fan feeling is clear.”
The game’s up Michael
Realistically the damage for Beale had already been done with those poor back-to-back defeats to PSV and Celtic.
A run of four straight wins in all competitions brought a little bit of respite, but the truth is the pressure on the manager’s shoulders has never really subsided.
And this dismal result here, in which Scott Wright was sent off, is surely the final nail in Beale’s coffin a Ibrox.
The fans voiced their disapproval and it is extremely difficult to see how he wins them back on side now after another day to forget.

The difficulty is that the board backed Beale hugely in the summer transfer window, allowing him to make nine signings to boost his squad.
But, with the exception of Jack Butland, none of those players have performed consistently well. It means any new boss will be inheriting a squad of players he might not even want.
What is obvious, though, is that the game is up for Beale. Surely it is now just a matter of time before the axe is wielded.
