Cyriel Dessers replaces injured Kemar Roofe – Confirmed Rangers XI v Aberdeen
Michael Beale has made one change to his Rangers starting line-up to face Aberdeen on Saturday 30 September, in the Scottish Premiership.
Kemar Roofe misses out on the squad entirely having picked up a hamstring injury in the Light Blues win over Livingston earlier this week and is replaced by Cyriel Dessers who leads the line alongside Abdallah Sima and Sam Lammers.
Ryan Jack, John Lundstram and Jose Cifuentes continue in midfield having started the Viaplay cup thrashing together, while the backline also remains unchanged with James Tavernier and Ridvan Yilmaz on either side of Connor Goldson and Ben Davies.
Jack Butland keeps his place in goal having made the summer switch to Ibrox and Beale will be hoping he can continue to keep this winning run going at Ibrox.
Momentum
While it hasn’t always been pretty, Rangers have turned around their fortunes in terms of results since the international break, with four wins in four matches to slightly ease the pressure currently on Beale and his side.
Last time out in the Scottish Premiership, they managed to scrape past Motherwell with a 1-0 win that left the Ibrox crowd frustrated and they made their opinions known as the Light Blues left the field to a chorus of boos from the supporters that was justified given the performance.
The mood has since been lifted with a much better performance to beat Livingston in the Viaplay Cup in midweek, but that cannot be a flash in the pan for the Gers, instead, it should provide the springboard for them to kickstart their season.

Aberdeen have struggled to get going so far this season, but have won their last two matches in all competitions, both against Ross County and Barry Robson will be hoping his side can use their momentum to cause an upset at Ibrox.
Beale’s ability to rotate and pick a strong squad has been limited by injuries so far this season, but the Rangers boss needs to find a way to win every match he takes charge of currently if he has genuine ambitions of catching Celtic and finding a way to pip them to the title.
That includes picking up three points at Ibrox today.
in other Rangers news, one journalist has suggested that Beale still could be sacked by the Light Blues
