Rangers: Chris Jack shares positive admission as Michael Beale closes in on ‘sanctuary’ at Ibrox
Chris Jack believes the signs were more positive at Rangers after the victory against Livingston than they have been for a while domestically.
Writing on the Rangers Review website on Thursday (28 September), the journalist said the “sanctuary of the international break” is now just three games away on the back of the 4-0 win over Livi in the Viaplay Cup on Wednesday (27 September).
But he believes the fixtures against Aberdeen, Aris Limassol and St Mirren will determine the way in which the Gers manager’s time at Ibrox is heading.

“The sanctuary of the international break is now just three matches – at home to Aberdeen and away to Aris Limassol and St Mirren – on the horizon for a side and squad that need the chance to regroup and recover,” said Jack.
“But with that said, the signs last night were more positive than they have been domestically in a while. Rangers were not blown off course at Ibrox. The next hat-trick of fixtures will determine in which direction Beale is heading as manager.”
Momentum
The performances haven’t been great by any means over the past couple of weeks, but you can’t really argue too much with four wins and four clean sheets.
If you had offered Rangers fans that on the back of the defeat to Celtic at the start of the month, then they would have absolutely snapped your hand off.
The displays on the field do have to get better, but the recent results could indicate that momentum is building and that Beale is slowly turning things in the right direction.

One defeat, however, will completely knock him off course and ensure that he is staring down the barrel once again at Ibrox.
But until that happens and, while he continues to record victories, he isn’t going anywhere as the international break and the chance to catch his breath again approaches.
