BBC Sport moots ‘big week’ for Michael Beale as ‘typically feisty’ Rangers v Aberdeen claim made
It is a “big week” for Rangers manager Michael Beale, beginning with a “typically feisty” clash with Aberdeen, according to BBC Sport.
The Gers host the Dons at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday (30 September), with the clubs sitting third and 11th in the table respectively.
Beale’s men then take on Cypriot club Aris Limassol in their second Europa League group stage match on Thursday (5 October).

“Rangers and Aberdeen shared 16 goals across five meetings in all competitions last season and the fixture is typically feisty,” according to BBC Sport.
“Both teams have hit a bit of form with Rangers recording four wins in a row without conceding and Aberdeen securing back-to-back wins over Ross County in the league and League Cup.
“Michael Beale and Barry Robson will offer up the mantra of ‘one game at a time’ but whatever way you look at it, it’s a big week for the managers.”

Huge period
It’s a huge period for Gers boss Beale, but then again that has been the case for quite some time, and it may just continue to be like that for many weeks to come.
That is because the man in the Ibrox dugout has endured some difficult results this season, with the losses to PSV and Celtic particularly damaging.
Those defeats have raised questions about his suitability for the role, but he has responded in the perfect way. The Glasgow outfit are on a superb four-game winning run, scoring plenty of goals and not conceding any in that time.
But league victories against the likes of St Johnstone and Motherwell are expected from a fan group with very high expectations of their team and their manager.
Upcoming opponents Aberdeen may be struggling this season, but they have a bit of momentum of their own, and will be keen to take that to Ibrox on Saturday.
In other Rangers news, a Gers coach has spoken out on the pressure on manager Beale as an “all scenarios” claim is made.
