Abdallah Sima understands Rangers fan frustration as forward accepts Ibrox boos
Abdallah Sima has said that both he has Rangers teammates understand the Ibrox crowds’ frustration in recent weeks and have accepted the boos of the supporters.
Michael Beale’s side have won all of their four matches since the September international break but the pressure has not lifted from supporters who voiced their frustration against St Johnstone on Saturday (23 September), booing the team off of the pitch.
Wednesday night’s win over Livingston in the Viaplay Cup was a much more complete performance from the Light Blues as they ran out 4-0 winners and Sima who scored his fourth Rangers goal said that he hoped the display would encourage the fans.

As quoted by the Daily Record on Thursday (28 September) he said: “We understand the fans. They want to see good football and they want to enjoy the games. So we accept that. They are special for us.
“They are always there for us, so we do have this pressure to do well for them. They will have been happy with our performance on Wednesday night, so we have to enjoy this.
“With this team and the quality it has in it, it’s going to be easier for a striker to score goals. That’s why I joined this club. We are happy now, after the Livingston game, and we just have to keep working hard and keep going.”
Keep going
Sima may not have been a Rangers player for very long, yet it is clear that he has bought into the football club completely and understands not only the feelings of the fans but also what it takes to be considered a success at Ibrox.
Like many of Beale’s summer additions he has shown flashes of excellence without offering the consistency that supporters would hoped he would bring to the frontline and it is clear that he wants to put that right, not just for himself but also for the team.

The fans have been completely within their rights to be uninspired by the football that Beale’s side have been playing in recent weeks, however, the win over Livingston showed that when this team gets up and running they can be a force to be reckoned with.
But for the pressure to ease and the fans to come completely on Beale’s side, Wednesday’s win has to be the first of many, rather than a flash in the pan. If the Gers can now put that sort of performance in against Aberdeen on Saturday (30 September) and again against Aris Limassol in the Europa League, then maybe the boos might completely stop.
In other Rangers news, David Martindale has claimed that three or four Gers players couldn’t believe Sima’s opening goal stood
