Rangers youngsters handed perfect opportunity to impress Michael Beale as Ibrox news emerges

Rangers manager Michael Beale may just need to look to the club’s B team if his current squad continue to struggle.

And the manager will have the perfect opportunity to do just that given how Rangers B have organised a friendly encounter with Monaco B.

As per the official Rangers website (25 September), the match is scheduled to take place at Ibrox on Saturday 7 October.

It will be a great opportunity for Beale, but more importantly it will be the ideal opportunity for those on the pitch to showcase their skills to the first-team manager.

It is not every day that a huge club like Monaco come to Glasgow, so this is a chance that the youngsters in blue should be taking with both hands.

There will undoubtedly be countless interested onlookers in the stands of Ibrox on the day, and senior boss Beale may be among them.

His side travel to St Mirren the following day, meaning there should be some time in the diary to pop into Ibrox and get a look at the future of the club, and maybe even some future signings from Monaco.

The manager’s focus will undoubtedly be on that tough-looking clash against St Mirren, with their opponents currently ahead of them in the Scottish Premiership table after their unbeaten start to the campaign.

But he shouldn’t say no to a quick glimpse of some of his future players, if indeed he can shake off the current pressure on his shoulders and stay at the club for the long term.

In other Rangers news, a BBC Sport journalist has shared a “relief” verdict after the club’s 1-0 win against Motherwell.
