Rangers midfielder Kieran Dowell rehab update shared by Injury Expert ahead of Livingston clash
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Rangers...
Rangers midfielder Kieran Dowell is unlikely to return for the mid-week clash against Livingston in the Scottish League Cup, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that a return over the weekend may be on the cards for the 25-year-old English midfielder.
Dowell has been out for over a month with a knee injury but appears to be on the right track towards his recovery.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“It sounds like Dowell is starting to ramp up his rehab process which is a good sign.
“It’s hard to compare him to Cantwell because we don’t know injury specifics but the fact Dowell is progressing is a good sign for his recovery.
“Expecting him to return over the weekend.“

Danilo, Rabbi Matondo and Todd Cantwell are the other players set to miss the cup game against Livingston on Wednesday, 27 September.
Dowell moved to Ibrox this summer and has not yet adapted along with most of the other new signings.
Michael Beale will certainly not be happy with the number of injuries being picked up in the past few weeks as that disrupts the momentum.
