Former Celtic striker shares admission on Rangers board making Michael Beale sack decision
Former Celtic striker Andy Walker believes that Rangers fans are correct to boo Michael Beale despite the win against Motherwell.
The Sky Sports pundit believes that Beale will be sacked eventually and does not see him lasting too long at Ibrox.
The ex Celtic hero also threw shade at the style of football and drew comparisons to Brendan Rodgers who replaced Ange Postecoglou this summer.

Walker told Go Radio, “The stadium isn’t fully behind the manager. They won yesterday and got booed off the pitch, and against Celtic. I’m talking about a disconnect between some of the Celtic supporters and Brendan Rodgers but it is much bigger between a lot, a significant number of the Rangers fans and Michael Beale. You can feel it. I don’t think it’s going to work for him.
“You only have to have one more stumble and that level of disconnect, abuse and booing will increase. The football has to improve but another stumble by Rangers would prove too costly for Beale.”
Fair enough
If after nearly a year and two transfer windows where he could bring in the player he wants, Beale cannot get the team to play in his image and dominate games, then there’s absolutely no point in him continuing at the helm.
It’s not like there aren’t managers better than him out there willing to come and do a job at Rangers so that cannot be the reason not to sack him.

An ultimatum needs to be handed to him as if it’s just on results, they will win most games because of the players they have.
However, against Celtic or other big teams in Europe, their flaws will be exposed and that should not be happening under any circumstance.
If there isn’t a significant change in the next four to six weeks, then the board needs to man up and relieve him of his duties.
