Official club partner shares Rangers worry for Michael Beale after Rabbi Matondo injury blow in 1-0 win v Motherwell
Heart and Hand believe that the increasing injuries at Rangers are going to make performances “worse” for Michael Beale after their below-par win over Motherwell.
The Light Blues made it three wins from three matches, but were far from convincing in their performance on Sunday (24 September) leading to a chorus of boos from the Ibrox fans.
Official Rangers partner, taking to their personal Twitter account (25 September) shared their reaction after Beale revealed (via The National, 24 September) that the injury Matondo picked up against Motherwell was a “bad one”.
With performances at “base level”, the “biting” injuries that Beale is faced with at Ibrox will only make performances worse, with Matondo likely joining Todd Cantwell, Danilo, Nicolas Raskin and Tom Lawrence on the treatment table.
The tweeted: “What’s worrying is we weren’t playing well when everyone was fit, injuries biting is just going to make it worse.
“But with that said, the majority who played yesterday were well below what you’d even say was a base level.”
Pressure increases even in wins
Although a lot of Rangers’ performances so far this season have rightly earned criticism, it does feel as though Beale’s side have almost been cursed with injuries in the early stages of the campaign, especially in their attack.
Cantwell and Dowell have been out of action since the international break, Lawrence suffered an injury in the win over Real Betis, while Danilo is recovering from the fractured eye socket blow he suffered scoring in the 2-0 win over St Johnstone while midfield maestro Raskin is also injured.

The three wins from three games certainly represent a turn in fortunes at Ibrox after the calls for Beale’s head after a run of dreadful performances before the international period, but those turn-in results have come at a cost and it could indeed make performances worse.
The Gers were lacklustre and disappointing against Motherwell and despite the three wins from three, the Ibrox faithful still aren’t overly satisfied.
Old Firm rivals Celtic still managed to easily dispatch of Livingston and put in an impressive showing for the fans on Saturday (23 September) despite having just ten men after Joe Hart’s red card, which again highlights the gulf in class at both clubs which is a real concern.
The injuries are certainly a damaging blow and it seems as if Beale’s men need the personnel to turn in good performances which certainly isn’t the mark of Scottish Premiership champions.
A consistent title hopeful or winner always finds ways to win and perform well even in tough circumstances. It’s a long way till Rangers reach that level again.
