Scott Wright starts, Kemar Roofe on the bench in three changes – Rangers confirmed starting XI v Motherwell
Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for the Scottish Premiership clash against Motherwell at Ibrox on Sunday 24 September as Michael Beale looks to keep their recent winning run going.
Beale has made three changes from Thursday night’s win over Real Betis, with Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers and Scott Wright coming in for Kemar Roofe, Tom Lawrence and Abdallah Sima.
Kieran Dowell, Todd Cantwell, Nicolas Raskin and Danilo continue to miss out through injuries as they form part of a growing list of players in the treatment room at Ibrox.
Looking to keep up current form
Beale will be looking to keep his side on the winning run which began with a 2-0 cruise past St Johnstone last weekend, before a brilliant victory against Real Betis in the Europa League started to bring some feel-good factor back to Ibrox.
It is important for Rangers to continue to show their dominance against sides like Motherwell who, without wanting to be disrespectful, any side aiming to mount a challenge for the title should be beating comfortably.
As usual, the atmosphere at Ibrox will play its part in the performance, and fans must not let frustrations over the way they started the season get in the way of giving their support to a side who are still learning and adapting to play the way Beale wants to.
Things may finally have started to click for the boss and his host of new players, but failing to win this one could see all of their hard work in the past week fall apart, so complacency is something they cannot afford. They will be looking to turn in a strong performance here.
In other Rangers news, Kenny Miller has sent a warning to Beale ahead of the Motherwell clash.
