Official club partner gushes over Ben Davies, John Lundstram and Jack Butland in Rangers 1-0 win v Real Betis

Four Lads Had A Dream have labelled Rangers as “excellent” after their 1-0 win over Real Betis, with three players singled out for special praise.

Ibrox was electric as Abdallah Sima’s second half goal was enough to claim all three points in the first Europa League group game of the season, helping to ease the pressure on Michael Beale after a rough few weeks.

And the official club partner took to their personal Twitter account after the game (21 September) to single out Ben Davies, John Lundstram and Jack Butland for their “excellent” displays to help the team claim the victory.

“Excellent result, delighted for the team and management,” they wrote.

“Thought we were tentative but organised first 35 minutes then we can in. Second we pressed them and pushed, well deserving of the goal.

“Davies, Lundstram very good. Butland was excellent. Well done Rangers.”

Excellent

Beale has received a lot of criticism for what was considered to be a pretty poor start to the season, and rightly so.

The football has been poor and results not good enough, but the performance the team put in at Ibrox on Thursday night will go a long way to winning fans over in the long run.

Rangers

The team was resolute defensively, looked dangerous going forward and were comfortable in possession, in what seemed like a potential turning point for the side and their season even at such an early stage.

Davies has come in from the cold at the start of the season to be excellent in a huge game, while Lundstram looks more like the player who was a key member of the Europa League finalists two seasons ago than the one who struggled last season.

In Butland we have found a worthy replacement for Allan McGregor too, and now we must build on this performance with another big showing and result against Motherwell on Sunday.
