Ally McCoist destroys Isco after TNT Sports footage in Rangers v Real Betis

Ally McCoist has destroyed Real Betis playmaker Isco after a coming together with Rangers captain James Tavernier on Thursday 21 September.

The Spaniard was seen rolling on the floor holding his face after the incident, but replays showed that the Spaniard had not even been touched in that area.

McCoist labelled his actions as “embarrassing” although it was enough to sell the referee into giving him a free-kick in front of a raucous Ibrox crowd.

Speaking on live TNT Sports coverage (21 September, 20:13), McCoist could not believe what he was watching after footage was replayed after the so-called clash.

“That’s embarrassing that is, holding his face and doesn’t even touch his face,” he said.

“Shocking.”

Rangers

Shocker.

Wow, when is this kind of thing going to stop in football?

Isco has been there and done it, winning five Champions League at Real Madrid, and along the way, he has clearly picked up all of the tricks needed.

Tavernier will not back away from any challenge and he was in the face of the Spaniard constantly, knowing that if he wasn’t, he could cause serious damage.

Thankfully, the referee didn’t see too much in it to hand him an early booking in the competition, with the threat of suspension still large for some huge games.

There wasn’t any playacting after this shocking moment, but Ibrox did turn into a theatre when the opening goal went in, with the crowd absolutely rocking in another special European moment.

McCoist was right to call out Isco, but football was soon the main talking point again with an end-to-end clash bringing great entertainment until the very last moment.

In other Rangers news, the pick of the summer business is already becoming a potential exit risk according to Chris Jack.
