Chris Jack reveals Rangers will be without Nico Raskin and Danilo for at least a month
Rangers have been dealt a blow as they will be without Nico Raskin and Danilo for at least a month, according to Chris Jack.
The Herald journalist tweeted on Wednesday (20 September) that the duo have been ruled out through injury until after the international break, with the Gers’ first game back coming against Hibernian in the SPFL on 21 October.
He said 22-year-old Raskin has picked up a calf injury, while Danilo suffered a broken cheekbone as the 24-year-old scored the opening goal in the 2-0 victory over St Johnstone on Saturday (16 September).
Not what Beale needed
This news is exactly what Michael Beale didn’t need as he is well and truly under pressure to deliver some results at Rangers over the coming weeks.
The loss of Raskin will be a huge blow for the Light Blues boss after the Belgian midfielder has become a key player for the Englishman since joining the club from Standard Liege in January.
He will also be extremely frustrated to be without Danilo for the next few weeks, given that the Brazilian forward got on the scoresheet in Perth on Saturday before being forced off with a nasty injury.

Jack also revealed that attacking midfielder Todd Cantwell will be unavailable for the Gers’ Europa League game against Real Betis on Thursday (21 September).
These latest setbacks are not going to help Beale’s cause over the next few weeks, but it doesn’t change the fact that he needs to pick up some big results following an unconvincing start to the campaign.
In other Rangers news, Real Betis could be set to sign a player Sir Alex Ferguson loves and deliver a blow to the Gers’ Europa League hopes.
