Real Betis set to welcome back four key players ahead of Rangers Europa League clash
Real Betis have received a welcome boost ahead of Thursday’s clash with Rangers in the Europa League with four of their first-team stars set to return to action, according to Daily Record.
According to the report (19 September), Manuel Pellegrini is set to be boosted by the returns of Claudio Bravo, William Carvalho, Andrés Guardado and right-back Aitor Ruibal who were all out with injuries.
The Gers get their Europa League campaign underway at Ibrox (21 September) as they welcome La Liga outfit Real Betis fresh off the back of their disappointing 5-0 defeat to Barcelona (16 September) while Rangers grabbed a much-needed 2-0 win over St Johnstone on the same day.
Ibrox support very key
Betis certainly have a decent enough side to trouble any team in Europe but there’s no reason to believe that they are favourites for this clash.
After their dreadful defeat to Barcelona at the weekend, it’s difficult to predict what kind of mental state Pellegrini’s side may enter Thursday’s game in but they must know they will be in for one hell of a battle.

Rangers have home advantage and have a good recent record in the Europa League so they will be backing themselves, especially if Michael Beale and his team can get their fans ramped up from the first whistle.
Danilo’s injury has come at the wrong time for them but that does not mean that there aren’t others in the side capable of stepping up.
Abdallah Sima and Cyriel Dessers can both provide a dangerous test for the Betis back-line but it’s important Beale picks the right formula for this game with his immediate future at Ibrox resting on these kinds of games.
A Betis defeat on Thursday could well put the pressure back on him after they eased it at the weekend but if the club are to compete at the elite level on a consistent basis, these are the games they should be overcoming.
Statement win needed on Thursday.
In other Rangers news, one Ibrox player scored a dreadful “3/10” score for his ineffective display v St Johnstone with player ratings shared.
