Rangers forward Danilo shares social media image after being discharged from hospital
Rangers forward Danilo has been discharged from hospital, three days on from suffering a horrible head injury against St Johnstone.
Danilo clashed heads with Liam Gordon in the process of scoring for the Gers in their 2-0 win at McDiarmid Park on Saturday [16 September].
The 24-year-old was subsequently taken to hospital to undergo an operation on a fractured cheekbone.
In another update provided on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday evening [19 September], Danilo said: “Back home.
“The recovery begins, time to rest and heal. See y’all soon.”

Danilo showed real bravery in getting to James Tavernier’s cross for Rangers’ opening goal against St Johnstone.
It came at a cost as he is now facing a spell on the sidelines. Exactly how long he will miss is not yet officially known, but the Daily Record [17 September] reported it will be “several weeks”.
That will likely take us through until after the October international break, but the most important thing is that Danilo takes as long as he needs to recover from the injury.
Unfortunately for the Brazilian, it means he will not get the chance to build momentum on the back of his goal in Perth, but his absence may well make the heart grow fonder.
The hope is that the other attackers available to Michael Beale – Cyriel Dessers, Rabbi Matondo, Kemar Roofe, Abdallah Sima and Tom Lawrence among them – step up and ensure Danilo’s spell on the sidelines is not felt too much.
In fact, if anything it presents an opportunity for someone to stake a claim to become a nailed on starter for Beale. Let’s hope one of those players takes it.
In other Rangers news, Barry Ferguson believes a rarely-seen player will now be relied on “big time” by Beale.
