Rangers trio included in WhoScored's SPFL Team of the Week after 2-0 win v St Johnstone
Rangers trio James Tavernier, Ben Davies and Tom Lawrence have been included WhoScored’s SPFL Team of the Week after the Bears beat St Johnstone 2-0 on Saturday 16 September.
The sack pressure eased on Gers boss Michael Beale after goals from Danilo and Rabbi Matondo handed them a crucial and comfortable victory at McDiarmid Park.
The win took the Gers into fourth in the Scottish Premiership table, four points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic with nine points from a possible 15.
The Ibrox side dominated the latest team of the week, provided by WhoScored [Sky Sports, 18 September] with three players represented after their much-needed victory and Ibrox captain Tavernier ranked in the top five performers by WhoScored with a rating of 7.90.
Not pretty, but comfortable

The St Johnstone win may not have been glamorous or stylish but Rangers simply got the job which they needed to do and will certainly ease the intense pressure on Beale after what’s been a rather difficult couple of weeks since their Old Firm defeat before the international break.
After much criticism had been placed on Rangers’ attacking problems in recent weeks, Beale’s men scored two wonderfully taken goals at McDiarmid Park, with the second an absolute peach.
And Tavernier, Davies and Lawrence were indeed the pick of the Rangers bunch with their sublime individual performances with all three players having a crucial hand in the pivotal three points.
Tavernier and Lawrence both laid on superb assists for the first and second Rangers goals respectively while Ben Davies turned out his best performance of the campaign so far with a dominant defensive display to register a valuable clean sheet.
With some more crucial fixtures coming up in the coming days, Beale will be heavily reliant on them to deliver on a consistent basis.
In other Rangers news, one Ibrox player scored a dreadful “3/10” score for his ineffective display v St Johnstone with player ratings shared.
