Four Lads share 'inevitable' Michael Beale sack decision verdict at Rangers

Four Lads Had a Dream believe Michael Beale being sacked by Rangers now appears “inevitable”, despite the weekend victory at St Johnstone.

Rangers put losses to PSV and Celtic behind them with a 2-0 win at McDiarmid Park on Saturday [16 September] to temporarily ease some pressure on Beale.

However, in a blog post by Steven Clifford on Monday [18 September], the official club partner questioned if the win is papering over the cracks.

“The most worrying thing? The fanbase is almost completely lost on the management and direction of this squad,” the blog post read.

“There is almost an undeniable theory or feeling amongst the support that the failure of this squad and management is inevitable.

“For that feeling of inevitability the blame is almost certainly all at the door of the manager.

“I struggle to remember a more toxic feeling, indeed the Paul Le Guen or [Pedro] Caixinha endings are only relatively comparable.

“But this somehow feels more aggressive. From comments on press conferences, or whenever the club speak, the negativity is undeniable.”

No more slip-ups

All Rangers can do at this point is continue winning matches.

The manner of the victory at St Johnstone was not all that impressive, but it was ultimately a case of job done.

Having decided against sacking Beale over the international break, it is now a case of taking each game as it comes.

With every negative result, whether that be a draw or a loss, the same questions will be asked of Beale.

And that explains the sense of inevitability, as it seems that the former QPR boss is simply living on borrowed time.

A defeat to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership next weekend, for example, would see the pressure build once again.

Only time will tell, but Beale knows better than anyone that he cannot afford for his side to slip up many more times in the coming weeks – if at all.

In other Rangers news, a player could be ruled out for several weeks through injury.
