Chris Sutton delivers Celtic verdict as Rangers beat St Johnstone
Chris Sutton believes St Johnstone must change their style of play after losing to Rangers, despite getting a point against Celtic.
Gers enjoyed a 2-0 victory away from home on Saturday (16 September) to take some pressure off Michael Beale.
The hosts played a passive brand of football and it proved to be effective when they took a point from the defending champions in a 0-0 draw at Celtic Park on 26 August.
Sutton told Sky Sports, “They didn’t lay a glove on Rangers. You have to carry a threat at times. They got the result at Celtic, of course. That’s going to be a problem for St Johnstone all season.”
Important win
Beale was starting to feel the heat so anything other than a win against St Johnstone would’ve seen the fans turn on him even more.

He admits that his job is safe but things can change quickly and a few bad results could see him losing his job.
However, with the backing over the summer, it’s understandable why they’ll give him some more time than they otherwise would have.
In other Rangers news, a never-seen-before player was spotted in Gers training on Monday amid a recent international development.
