Journalist shares ‘outstanding’ verdict on Rangers-linked Graham Potter as ‘nobody is safe’ claim made
Rangers-linked Graham Potter is currently the “outstanding out-of-work manager,” according to The Daily Telegraph’s Luke Edwards.
The former Chelsea and Brighton manager was approached by the Gers to replace current boss Michael Beale, according to The Sun (13 September).
But the newspaper reported that Potter declined the opportunity as he waits for the right job elsewhere, with Beale remaining in charge for now.

“Potter is going to be linked with every manager job going. He is the outstanding out-of-work manager at the moment,” Edwards said on the Football Gossip Daily podcast (14 September). “So any time a Premier League manager is under pressure, Potter’s name is going to be linked with that job.
“And now it turns out that managers under pressure in Scotland are also going to be under pressure from Potter, nobody is safe.”

Top manager
Potter is obviously a top manager, having demonstrated his ability in the dugout during his time at Premier League club Brighton.
The boss initiated the rise that the Seagulls are currently enjoying, and undoubtedly made the wrong decision to leave the south coast club to join Premier League giants Chelsea.
It was always going to be a difficult role at Stamford Bridge, and perhaps came too early for the manager, although he hasn’t been the only one to struggle in West London in recent times.
Rangers supporters would, of course, welcome Potter to Ibrox with open arms, but it seems that he has his sights set on another role elsewhere.
Anyway, the Gers have a manager in Beale, but the pressure will absolutely continue to rise on the boss if results do not go his way soon.
It is a very high-pressure job at the best of times, and he is seemingly running out of time to impress the powers that be at Ibrox.
