Rangers made Craig Moore look ‘a little bit silly’ with Celtic comments
Former Rangers player Craig Moore admits he was made to “feel a little bit silly” after watching the Gers lose to Celtic in the Old Firm derby.
Moore, who made 150 appearances for the Light Blues, said ahead of the season beginning that Rangers had a stronger squad than Celtic.
Yet it was a depleted Celtic side that came out on top at Ibrox on 3 September with a 1-0 win in controversial circumstances to move four points clear of their fierce rivals.

Reflecting on those comments on the Go Radio Football Show [7 September], Moore said: “I feel a little bit silly, I’ve got to say.
“At the start of the season, when I was looking on paper, the Celtic squad in terms of the lack of business they had done, and the business that Rangers had done, I’m going ‘Rangers are the strongest squad’.
“I’ll tell you what the difference is at this moment in time: mentally, Celtic are stronger.”
Prove him wrong
Having already been made to feel silly once, it is down to Rangers to this time prove Moore wrong with regards to his latest comments.

While there are question marks over a number of the new arrivals in terms of character, the trip to St Johnstone will present a first real test of mentality.
After all the negativity over the past two weeks following defeats to PSV and Celtic, only they can respond by sending out a message at McDiarmid Park on Saturday [16 September].
The fixtures come thick and fast between the end of this international break and the start of the next one in a month’s time, meaning plenty of opportunities for the players to show they are more than worthy of wearing the shirt.
If they do not start putting down markers, though, then Beale – who is already feeling the heat at Ibrox amid a poor start to the campaign – will have the pressure cooker cranked up even further.
In other Rangers news, one statistic in particular lays bare exactly where the Gers have struggled so far this season.
