Hugh Keevins shares Michael Beale ‘breach of promise’ verdict as Rangers sack decision made

Rangers boss Michael Beale stands accused of being in “breach of promise” following the defeat to Celtic on 3 September, according to Hugh Keevins.

Writing on the Daily Record website on 10 September, the journalist said the Gers fans went into the Old Firm in a confident mood despite that having “nothing to do” with the Light Blues’ team.

He claims it was on the back of the Hoops’ “injury epidemic” and sales in the transfer market but, even though Rangers lost the game 1-0, the Rangers board has decided he can keep his job for the moment in time [Daily Record].

“In the heat of the moment and in the cold light of day, the temperature check remained the same because Michael stands accused of breach of promise,” said Keevins. “Optimism among Rangers fans was high last Sunday – but it was nothing to do with Beale’s team.

“Confidence was based entirely on Celtic fielding a team from those left after an injury epidemic, transfer
window exits and the ineligibility of others based on inexperience.

“And the home side still managed to lose when Celtic looked like they were offering a score one, get one free deal for one day only.”

Getting louder

Even though you might have thought the noise around Beale would have calmed down a bit by now, it only seems to be getting louder.

There seems to be the same opinion shared by the majority of people who have weighed in on the situation that the Rangers boss could already be on borrowed time.

It feels as though he could only be one more damaging defeat away from being relieved of his duties on the back of the defeats to PSV and Celtic.

This is without a doubt the most pressure the Englishman will have been under during his managerial career – perhaps even his whole time involved in the game.

It will really show what kind of character he is and whether or not his team are fully behind him when they are back in action against St. Johnstone on 16 September.

In other Rangers news, Chris Jack has already shared an exit development about one new signing.
