Chris Jack gives Micheal Beale sack verdict as ‘big-money’ signings will decide boss’ future

Michael Beale’s future at Rangers will depend on the performances of the summer’s big-money signings, as they could make or break his Ibrox career, according to Chris Jack via Rangers Review.

The journalist shared on 8 September that neither the faith from the board nor belief from the fans has been repaid by Beale so far this season, so he will be relying on his shiny new signings to save his job.

Having headed their transfer push over the summer, with multiple gaps in the squad needing to be plugged, Beale has been backed by the board, and it is now the players’ turn to hold up their end of the deal.

Put faith in the system and the players

It seems that Beale has tried experimenting with different systems, styles, formations and players in an attempt to get all of his new signings working together, rather than putting faith in his preferred style with the players in their preferred roles.

Sam Lammers is the best example. He was brought in as a striker, but so far has had to play either out on the wing or in behind two other strikers, limiting his impact on the team and reducing his talents.

It cannot all be down to Beale, though. His side simply hasn’t performed to their expected level when it comes to their individual displays on the pitch. Another new signing Cyriel Dessers is still yet to score his first league goal for the club despite playing every game so far.

The £13million spend over the summer will need to start bearing fruit soon, or Beale could find himself out of a job quicker than anybody had expected despite all of the optimism before the season began.

In other Rangers news, a Dutch ace has been told to snub an Ibrox move.
