Rangers: ‘Serious’ Michael Beale sack development emerges at Ibrox, possible replacement named
Michael Beale is under “serious” threat of losing his job at Rangers as John Eustace is being eyed as his replacement, according to the Daily Mirror.
The newspaper reported on its website on 7 September that the Gers are chasing the Birmingham City manager, who is also being linked with a number of other clubs.
It said D.C. United boss Wayne Rooney has emerged as a leading contender to take over at St Andrew’s if Eustace does leave, with Beale’s position at Ibrox under “serious threat” following the “humiliating” Champions League exit and the defeat to Celtic.

Uncomfortable
There is no doubt that Beale must be in an extremely uncomfortable position at this moment in time because his job really is on the line.
The Rangers boss has had a disastrous couple of weeks following the Champions League humbling against PSV and the home defeat to Celtic, putting him under all kinds of pressure.
After losing two of his opening four SPFL games this season, Beale really needs to put a few wins together consecutively after the international break to stop all the noise around his future for at least the time being.

It’s a completely different situation for Eustace currently, as his stock as a manager has never been higher after steadying the ship at Birmingham and then overseeing an unbeaten start to the season in the Championship.
Their move to eye up Rooney as his replacement is likely in response to a number of clubs reportedly being interested in the St Andrew’s boss, so the Light Blues may have to act quickly if they want him to take over at Ibrox.
In other Rangers news, Chris Jack has shared a “no excuse” trophy verdict on Beale.
