Official Rangers partner reacts as Michael Beale transfer claims contradicted by board

Official Rangers club partner Heart and Hand podcast have labelled the current situation at the club “a mess” after the board contradicted Michael Beale on transfers.

Writing on their official Twitter account (8 September) they were responding to a story from journalist Chris Jack in which he reports that the Rangers board were forced to “underwrite Michael Beale’s recruitment blueprint”.

That comes after Beale called out journalists for the prices they reported on some of the nine incomings at the club over the summer, meaning the club are publicly contradicting each other.

“Board contradicting the manager isn’t a good look really is it?” they wrote.

“What a mess.”

Ridiculous

Ultimately the club had a decision to make during this international break when it came to Michael Beale and it was either to back him or hang him out to dry, and they’ve done neither.

Beale has been making some silly comments publicly ever since getting the job. He called out several people last year for their performances but continued to play them, most notably Alfredo Morelos.

Then this year he is making excuses for things that don’t need excuses. We signed a lot of players and spent money to do it, there’s no crime in that and it was necessary.

But he seems to know that spending money comes with expectation and pressure and he’s trying to deflect from that, with the board not on the same page as him and now it’s making everyone look silly.

They need to sort it out on and off the pitch because Rangers are becoming a laughing stock and it simply isn’t good enough right now.

In other Rangers news, ace could leave on season-long loan deal before Sept 15 deadline.
