Chris Jack shares Jack Butland exit development at Rangers already
Rangers may soon have to fight off interest in keeper Jack Butland after a strong start to the season, according to Chris Jack.
Writing on the Rangers Review website on Friday (8 September), the journalist said the 30-year-old has been the “standout” signing of the summer for the Gers after he joined the club from Crystal Palace.
Jack believes that the English keeper’s best days are still ahead of him and claims there is already a belief that the Light Blues may have to “fend off potential suitors sooner rather than later”.

“Butland has been the standout thus far, both in terms of the manner in which he has conducted himself and the way that he has performed,” said Jack.
“At 30, his best years are certainly ahead of him and there is already a belief that Rangers may have to fend off potential suitors sooner rather than later.”
Impressive
There is absolutely no doubt about the fact that Butland has so far been the best of the summer signings at the start of this season for Rangers.
That isn’t just because a lot of the other new recruits have failed to live up to expectations, but because he has arguably been the club’s best player in the opening few matches.
Although he let in five goals against PSV in the Champions League qualifiers, the keeper had a superb game and it would’ve been a lot more if it wasn’t for him pulling off a string of quality saves.

While Michael Beale has been judged massively for the signings he has brought in and the money he’s spent, the Englishman appears to be one piece of business he has definitely got right.
It’s unlikely Butland will be planning an exit any time soon given that he’s just made the switch to Ibrox, but you wouldn’t put it past him making the move back to England in the future if the chance comes about.
In other Rangers news, a “serious” threat has emerged for Michael Beale as his Gers future is in question.
