Besiktas want to sign Ridvan Yilmaz on season-long loan from Rangers before September 15 deadline
Rangers are willing to let Ridvan Yilmaz leave on loan with Besiktas keen to sign him before their transfer deadline on September 15, report Fanatik.
Writing on their official website (7 September), the Turkish news outlet report that Gers are willing to let the 22-year-old left-back leave temporarily after a poor debut campaign.
Yilmaz has only featured as a substitute once this season and is behind Borna Barisic and Dujon Sterling in the pecking order. The report suggests Michael Beale is happy for him to leave on loan, and Besiktas are interested, but the final decision is down to the player.

“Besiktas possibility arose again for Rıdvan Yilmaz, who was transferred from Besiktas to Rangers at the beginning of last season,” they wrote.
“The 22-year-old left-back played only 8 matches in the Scottish League and made 2 assists.
“According to the information, the Scottish club allowed Ridvan to leave on loan. If the player looks positively at this situation, he can wear the Besiktas jersey again.”
Terrible
Barisic has been the first-choice left-back for years and it’s clear as day he isn’t good enough, so why isn’t Yilmaz getting the opportunity to stake his claim?
We spent around £4m on signing him last year and while injuries have been a big problem for him during his time at Ibrox, we have seen some promising performances when he has been fit and able to play.

Nobody is saying he’s a world beater or definitely the answer to what has become a problem position, but it seems to be a terrible decision to let him leave without ever really giving him a proper opportunity to become the main man.
A loan move not only would leave us short of options because we can’t replace him, but it would also imply that the club believe he could still have a future going forward.
it just wouldn’t make any sense really and it would be a strange deal to do at this point considering we just let the entire summer window go by without moving him on or signing a proper replacement anyway.
