Rangers swoop for free agent Oussama Idrissi mooted, winger can fill Ryan Kent gap
Morocco international Oussama Idrissi has been mooted as a free agent that Rangers could sign as a replacement for Ryan Kent.
Idrissi registered seven goals and eight assists last season during a loan spell at Dutch side Feyenoord from parent club Sevilla.
Kent, along with Allan McGregor, Alfredo Morelos, Filip Helander and Scott Arfield, left Ibrox at the end of last season upon the expiry of his contract.

“That Ryan Kent replacement never was signed, was it?” Blair Meikle wrote for Football Scotland. “Rangers are now reliant on Rabbi Matondo to be that outlet out wide and while he’s shown flashes of a renaissance, he’s yet to do it on a consistent basis.
“Fans are beginning to accuse Michael Beale of failing to deliver on some of his promises and one of them was to replace Kent in the squad. If he wants to move into the free agent market to do so, the Moroccan international could be an option.
“The 27-year-old has just left Sevilla after a loan at Feyenoord. There were rumours weeks ago of a move to Saudi Arabia but that hasn’t happened as of yet and he remains a free agent.”

Another attacker needed?
With nine new arrivals at Ibrox this summer, it seems unlikely that Rangers boss Beale did not bring in a replacement for fan favourite Kent. That assumption is made even more unlikely given how four of those nine players play in attacking positions.
Goalkeeper Jack Butland, defenders Leon Balogun and Dujon Sterling, and midfielders Kieran Dowell and Jose Cifuentes were all signed in the summer transfer window.
But much of the excitement was reserved for forwards Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers, Danilo and Abdallah Sima, with the latter joining on a season-long loan.
But an argument can perhaps be made that none of those players are capable of filling Kent’s boots, particularly given how Beale opted to start Matondo at left-wing against Celtic on Sunday (3 September).
Of course there would not be a fee involved should Rangers move for free agent Idrissi, but it would highlight just how desperate the man in the Ibrox dugout was if a deal was struck.
In other Rangers news, a BBC pundit has shared what Beale did during the match against Celtic that left Gers fans “not happy.”
