Rangers tipped to seal late signing on deadline day amid Harry Souttar loan speculation
Rangers have been tipped to continue their transfer business late on deadline day amid links to Leicester City defender Harry Souttar, according to The Scotsman.
The outlet reported (1 September) that Souttar “continues to be linked” with a loan move to Ibrox, with Michael Beale keen to improve his defensive options.
The Scotsman also claim that it would be “no surprise” if the Gers continue to be active in the market towards the end of the window.

Unfinished business
While John Souttar, the brother of Harry, would likely relish the chance to play alongside his brother, the clock is ticking on the transfer window.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT (31 August), journalist Dean Jones claimed that the Gers’ move for the 24-year-old should not be “disregarded” just yet.
Elsewhere, The 4th Official claimed on their Patreon (31 August) that Souttar himself is keen on the move to Glasgow with “no hesitation on his part” regarding a Leicester exit, but that the deal is “hanging in the balance” due to Ben Davies’ desire to remain at Rangers.
A loan move for the six-foot-six centre-back would certainly boost Beale’s options. The 5-1 thrashing at the hands of PSV Eindhoven which knocked the Gers out of the Champions League was tough to take, but also revealed significant defensive issues.

But The Scotsman hints at further business beyond Souttar. Rangers have been incredibly busy this summer and got a lot of their business done early and have avoided the anxiety and stress of deadline-day deals.
But if just Souttar is brought in on deadline day, Beale will have no excuses not to bring Rangers success following the stacked window they’ve had.
Danilo, Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers and Abdallah Sima, just to name a few, have all made the switch to Ibrox, and Souttar may be next.
In other Rangers news, talkSPORT host Jim White has blasted the Gers following their “immensely disappointing” performance in the Champions League qualifier against PSV.
