Rangers news as Josh McPake exit now confirmed at Ibrox
Rangers have confirmed the news that Josh McPake has had his contract terminated at Ibrox after a mutual agreement was reached.
The club confirmed the decision via their official B team Twitter, wishing McPake the best for his future career away from Glasgow after his time at the club was finally called to an end tonight.
The termination of his deal at Ibrox will allow him to find a new club regardless of the transfer deadline, with the window set to close.
A sad way to end his Rangers career
Ultimately, McPake’s time at Rangers was not what either party would have hoped for him, with the eventual mutual termination of his contract a sad way to put an end to a career that never really got going at Ibrox.
The 22-year-old never made a senior appearance for the Glasgow club, but spent time on loan away from the club in the English league pyramid, featuring for Tranmere Rovers and Harrogate Town in League Two, as well as Morecambe in League One.
His experiences in the English leagues will give him a good platform to find a move away from Ibrox, with his 14 League Two appearances with Tranmere in the 2021/22 season proving that he could be an asset for a team who are struggling for options.

His availability on a free transfer away from Rangers will also allow him more opportunities as clubs will not have the fear of parting with a fee to bring him in and risk their investment going wrong at any point as is often a fear for the lower league clubs.
In other Rangers news, an approach was made for a last-gasp Ibrox exit.
