Harry Souttar to Rangers move from Leicester City ‘hanging in the balance’ amid Ben Davies exit update
Harry Souttar wants to play for Rangers and there is “no hesitation on his part” about making the move, according to The 4th Official.
The online source reported via Patreon on Thursday night (31 August) that the Leciester City defender’s potential Ibrox switch is “hanging in the balance” because Ben Davies is “definitely not keen” to leave the club despite them wanting to “offload” him.
The 28-year-old has yet to play so far this season and looks to have lost his role in the starting XI to Souttar’s older brother John.

Harry is thought to be “excited” to join up with his sibling in Glasgow and T4O has repeatedly stood by their sources who report that a move is on the cards, despite official word coming out of the club that it isn’t.
One in one out?
Davies has blown hot and cold since his arrival from Liverpool a year ago but he did end up making 38 total appearances in his debut season at Ibrox.
He has been tipped as a potential sacrifice from Michael Beale’s squad since early in the summer given he should still have some decent value in the market.
But he clearly doesn’t look like he wants to leave, and although there have been some links to Stoke City it doesn’t look like too many teams are beating down the door to sign him.

Since Leicester were relegated to the Championship the younger Souttar, 24, hasn’t yet featured and looks like he is likely to be on the move.
Given he cost £15million, also from Stoke, in January there is little prospect of Rangers being able to finance a permanent deal right now so a loan would be the only way it happens.
But in light of the number of injuries the group picks up there might still be room for another addition before the Friday deadline at 11pm, if there is still space on the wage bill.
In other Rangers news, one member of the defender group is attracting interest and could be heading out before the deadline even if Davies doesn’t.
